It was a stage of Victory or Defeat. Members are suppose to improve themselves throughout the year no matter in their studies, music or life. This is a promise to themselves not to the leaders.
We had to do things without ah pa啊爸 & er jie 二姐 ..... they have to leave us for good. Continuing studies in Russia, seems to be impossible for many of us but both of them did it!!! It took them great pain, endurance from lots of obstacles & hardship ........ they fought with great determination & lion's roaring daimoku. I'm very proud of them. SALUTE!!! oh ~~~ i missed them so much ....... 보고싶다 (I miss you)
Luckily Jonathan, Kee Ghee 啊 公 came 2 rescue just in time. thanx Dr. J for helping us in music wise all these while & supporting us till the crucial moment of the concert. Thx for not giving up in teaching us as we keep on repeating our mistakes right after you have just corrected us. silly us ............
Lots of hickups during the preparation for the concert (6/1/07) & KK 25th anniversary (7/1/07). Things doesn't seem to move smoothly, members' spirit were dropping drastically. DMs are getting anxious & worried about the situation, we might raised our voice or showed sour faces during practices ...... we're very sorry dear sis & bros ...... 对不起姐妹兄弟们 ........
I had prayed earnestly when I was in Korea, gongyo with silent prayers dedicated to all of you who were practicing hard & me enjoying myself :P Doing daimoku & gongyo on other land really gave me a deep impression of Ikeda Sensei doing world kosen rufu. Too bad I didn't had the opportunity to visit Kaikan in Seoul.
Jumping to 6/1/07 :~
Midnite of 5/1/07 : Few panda bears were doing last minute preps at home. as i know, me, guat, peng, sian 姐, phaik yi, mendy & some unidentified species ...... hahaha ....... keeping their eyes wide open til 6/1 morning bout 3am or 4am just to ensure things goes perfect the next day ... oooppsss ..... i mean later. thx sis...... 辛苦了......多谢!
Started journey to BTCC about 12pm ++ ........ wat happened in the bus? somebody plz update me as I drove Ferrari there (late mah, soli soli) ..... somehow ..... i heard that the bus had headed to the wrong direction, haha..... no wonder they are so late la .......
counting down the time ........ test stage, check sound, rest, makan-makan (谢谢秀妈妈) , make up (谢谢 lay chian & crew), do D&G, encouragement by Saw Chin姐 ................... teng teng teng teng ........ drums rolling ......... OH NO ...... it's 7.30pm di .................
Parents, guest ....... one by one stepping into IPA. not much of decoration due to time constrain but the dim light made the room warm. all of us head towards the back stage to tune & warm up. some hands waving in the air to their parents, relatives & friends who have came to support us. OK! we're set to go.
Opening by two MCs of the night : Billy & Angelia (haha ... not me ...... she's Angelia ANG) ............ LET THE SHOW BEGIN!!! opening message from 二姐,啊爸 read by me. then our music & dances started. i know it would be a successful concert as we nailed the beginning of Phantom of the Opera. Overall the whole was a success. everybody played & danced with their heart. really 'touching the people where they are'. thanx to twirlers sis who changed their dance steps & formation last minute but managed to do it gracefully. thanx to YB sis & bros who have played & enjoyed the music truly from the heart.
The most crucial moment or event for the whole concert was of course the impression session. that was our main agenda of the night. when the 1st person stepped out to share her impression i tried to hold back my tears as i was standing at the 1st row. more & more came out .... it made the whole hall so warm & i can see many of the guest tears rolling on their cheeks & some tears gleaming. it was so so so so touching ........... ever touching!!! i heard that 啊 公 cried too....... hehehe....... nobody could resist to cry as the words coming out from all sis & bros were all coming out from their sincere heart. thanking & apologizing to their parents, relatives & friends etc. [lee wen even thanked her bf for coming] hehe ....... We have achieved our objective for the concert!!! Victory was ours at that very night.
After sharing, we all went down stage to give our heart-shaped greeting card to our parents. all went & find for their parents & friends ..... shaked hand ...... hugged ..... kissed ...... took photos ........ after that 'Together We Shall Grow' song was on the air.everybody sang happily. then it was a crazy photo session. all of the sudden we were like superstar. the camera flashes keeps on coming. taking here & there ..... dono which camera to look at..... finally BIG FAMILY PHOTO SHOT [chuen kar fook] !!!
i [representing the whole team] would like to thank Mr Ong (my uncle) for sponsoring us supper. thank you very much. after the 'yum seng' session with Milo at the canteen, we went up to help to rearrange the chairs back to original. thanx to Kang Ming who is so hardworking from the day we decorated IPA until the very end of the show. a very good example of a Gajokai & YB member.
end of the night ....... 1 more wave to go on the next morning.............
