Day 242 - 246

Day 246 - today was my 1st time shooting a funeral. when i arrived, the daughter of the deceased was actually a new friend that i've made during YWD conferance few months ago. my condolences to the family.the prayer session was held in a chapel and later cremated. some members & friends took turn to say a few words. it was so sad. although i have never meet the deceased before, i can feel that he is a great man with strong fighting spirit. one thing different is that in Malaysia, the coffin is usually slowly pushed in to the 'fire box'. but here, it happened so fast. once they open the door, the undertaker wearing a mask, bbrrooofff ..... in a high speed, the coffin was wheeled or pushed in to burn. i was standing quite near to the 'fire box'. when the door was open, i can feel the high temperature, no wonder the undertaker pushing the button for the coffin had to wear a mask where you usually see those metal or goldsmith wearing.
after that, i went to school to continue my class before going to work. finished work at 1.30am!

Day 245 - school ... work ... sleep

Day 244 - school ... work ... sleep. for my new assignment which is product shooting, i borrowed a 15th anniversary johnie walker whisky from boss to shoot. it took me so long just to get a good shot. and yet i had to photoshop to combine a few images to make it perfect.
got a call from Theresa asking for a favour. one of SGINZ member(M'sian) just passed away and the family wanted a photographer to document the funeral. i agreed to it. it will be my 1st funeral shoot. abit scared but i'll do my best.

Day 243 - went to band practice from 1-4pm. went to work at 5pm. Nigel is still sick. hope he can cope it well.

Day 242 - went to practice from 1-4pm. went for dinner with Wendy at Newmarket. after dinner, i bought porridge for Nigel. he's not feeling well. studying too hard i guess. well wishes to him.

Day 232 - 241

Day 241 - study ... work ... sleep

woke up & went to buy some stuff for the shop before driving me home.

good ad!but i can't live without meat .... im sorry mr. cow, mr. pig & mr. chic!

Day 240 - yahooo .... finally today all bus services back to normal. no need to walk to school anymore. so bad luck today.i left my room key in my room!!! its already 1am when i finished work. there will be no receptionist to help me. can't get to my room :( so i overnite at boss's house. how terrible i am!!!!!

Day 239-236 - study ... work ... sleep. because of the bus drivers all on strike, I had to walk to school. it takes around 35 min. the weather is bad. windy and rainy and cold. sometimes i just get fed up of using umbrella coz the wind will just blow it another way round and i get wet. so i just put on my jacket's hood and walk fast. easier.

Day 235 - today got buddhist exam, so practice was cancelled. woke up at 2pm. such a nice sleep ever. went to work at 5pm.

Day 234 - woke up at 8.30am. together with Tiffany, I went to Howick to shoot a Thai restaurant's boss's birthday party till 12pm. had sandwich and hot chocolate for brunch in the car. then rush to North Shore to shoot a wedding from 12.30pm - 9pm.

Day 233 - from today onwards till further notice, all bus services will be cancelled. haizzz .... since i came to NZ, it has been several times this happened. what to do, they have so much freedom to strike. so poor us citizens had to walk, cycle or carpool. i don't usually have breakfast but after walking, I just couldn't resist from stepping into Subway and get myself a SubOfTheDAy.

Day 232 - study ... work ... sleep

Day 231

its still very cold today but luckily it didn't rain. when i came out from class, the right side of me was ..... gloomy & cloudy
but the left side of me was ..... clear sky
this is New Zealand weather. it can change so instantly!

when i came from work at 1am, i checked my mailbox & i found an envelope for me. i can recognise its Bee Peng's writing. immediately i opened it and ......

sob .... sob ..... its a birthday card from my dear band members in Penang! thank you so much guys for the wishes!!! really happy to recieve this surprise!!!

miss you guys!

Day 225 - 230

Day 230 - its still very cold today. when i go to school, its about 12 degrees. its 6th Oct, uncle's birthday. called home to say hi.

Day 229 - suddenly the weather changed! from the usual 18 degrees, it dropped to 7 degrees! damn cold man! it's almost as cold as winter. plus the raining & strong wind, its like staying in a freezer.

Day 228 - woke up at 8.30am. took bus with Wendy to World Peace Chanting. it was gokuyo day as well. after that, went to buy lunch and continue practicing till 4pm. Sam took some leftover cakes for us. yummy!!! went to work at 5pm til midnite.

Day 227 - its Mooncake Festival! so sad im not at home to celebrate my lunar birthday. anyway, i had a great day. went to practice till 4pm. then, we head to Sam's house at North Shore to celebrate his birthday. lotsa delicious food & drink. so full. came back home at 10pm, do my laundry. about 12am, went out to have a hot drink with my Philippine friend.walked around the street till 2am. saw many many people clubbing. all these while, i thought its a boring city because i don't see anyone on the street after 10pm. now only i know, they are all at the lower part of the city clubbing. it was so packed with people. and the unfortunate (sui) thing is that i saw two guys peeing on the street! yucks!!!! went back and straight to the bed. so tired.
