Day 313 - Day 317

Day 317 - its the last day of 2009. foooo .... wat a hard & challenging year for me. i had lived an impossible dream. still can't believe it. well .... looking forward for a more vibrant & fruitful 2010.

Day 314 - today is my off day. because of less crowd, boss decided to close the shop. in the afternoon i went window shopping with Angie, den went to her house. Shunhan's korean friend is going back to Korea for good and she left lots of cloths. so, i picked some from it. yahooo .... no need to spend $$ buying new cloths. summer,autumn,winter & spring collection .... all oso got :P

after dinner, we watch a movie through PPStream. a chinese movie called Vengeance starring Simon Yam, Anthony Wong, Johnny Hallyday, Lam Ka Tung & etc. its about hired hitmen and how they revenge for their loved ones. its good ...... you should watch it.

earlier on i bought a Schwarzkopf hair spray for auntie Heng. today while shopping, auntie Heng bought me a Swarovski bracelet as my X'mas present. the retail price was $124 but we got it for only $30 after the clearance sale discount. thx alot auntie Heng.

i bought a Anne Geddes 2010 calender organiser for boss as his X'mas gift. earlier when we went shopping, he showed me some her works. its really amazing.
Anne is an Australian-born photographer, clothing designer and businesswoman who now lives and works in New Zealand. She is known for her stylized depictions of babies and motherhood.
In most of her work, babies or young children are dressed as fictitious characters such as fairies and fairytale creatures, flowers, or animals like bunnies. Her subjects are extremely idealized; babies in her photographs are almost always sleeping or staring into space, as if still in utero. She has described herself as "a baby freak". Geddes' books have been published in 83 countries and has sold more than 18 million books and 13 million calendars.
after shopping, i went to auntie Heng's house for tea break ~ wanton soup. without break, i went to Angie's house for dinner ~ BBQ again. because i drank the apple cider beer too fast, i was abit drunk. i fell asleep at the couch without realizing. after wake up, had chocolate cake and chinese tea before going home.

today we had X'mas BBQ party at boss house. about 10 of us were there. the menu includes:

BBQ started at 4pm till about 9pm. today's weather is so so great. they said that every X'mas would be wet but im lucky to enjoy a fine & sunny 1st X'mas in NZ. im so full! all food were so yummy. when the evening gets colder, we went in to the house to have chit chat before leaving. got back home about 11pm. tommorow is Saturday which means IT'S DAY OFF! yahooo ........ will have a great & long sleep tonight.

Day 306 - 310

Day 310 - worked from 11am - 9pm. its X'mas eve! actually we plan to close the shop by 6pm. we almost finish cleaning and leaving when a few regular customers came to approach us. all other restaurants were closed, they couldn't find any where else to have dinner. so we accomodated them. by 9pm, we were so hungry. we went to downtown to have dinner before going home. tommorow i will be going to boss house for X'mas BBQ party.

menu - soup, char siu, stir fry bitter gourd with beef, sweet & sour pork, japanese taufu with pork & salted vegetable.
Day 309 - worked from 11am - 9pm. went to Foodtown at 11pm to buy some grocceries.


Day 308 - worked from 11am - 11pm. boss went for laser treatment in the eye. so i have to start work at 11am. sleepy! so boring coz X'mas is coming, all student balik kampung. not much customers. its Winter Solstice day, the longest day(daylight). at 9.30pm, the sky is still bright. beautiful!!!

Day 301 - 305

Day 305 - slept at 7.00am. just monitoring my online auction, search for freelance jobs for students, chat with sis & friends ... watch TVB drama at the same time. busy right? but it's worth it coz i get to witness the sunrise right in front of me. superb view. i took these at around 5.30am

i was supposed to go for a haircut at 2pm & then go window shopping but i couldn't wake up....hahaha..... so i woke at 4pm, by 5pm boss came & pick me up to their house. Shunhan bought me a pig massager as a thank you gift for shooting his graduation. generally the whole stomach will vibrate & acts as a massager. after dinner, we headed to Sylvia Park for midnight shopping. boss & Angie was so nice to buy me a X'mas present. taaddaaaaa ...... a shirt from Esprit which cost $99.90. so expensive leh!!!! but anyway .. thx a lot.

Day 304 - worked from 12pm to 11.30pm. had char koay teow for supper. its day off tomorrow! yyeehhh ......... Day 303 - me & boss went to collect the lamb shank at Mt. Roskill. while waiting for the butcher to prepare the shanks, we went wondering around the minimarket beside the meat shop. guess what i found! its cheese ring!!! omg ... can't believe i can find it in NZ. i saw twisties too. so, i bought my fav Super Ring ($1.99). finished it while watching my drama.Day 302 - worked from 12pm to 11.30pm

Day 300 - was supposed to go to school to meet Tiffany ... so i woke up earlier. received a mail from M'sian Embassy. my passport renewal application was rejected because my thumprint was not witnessed & signed by the Justice of Peace. haizzz ..... have to go find Mr JP again. went to top up my Internet credit.then my phone rang. it was boss who asked for help. the restaurant is very busy. so i quickly ran to the shop. i took me 20 seconds to reach. about 2.30pm i went to JP's house but he was too busy to entertain me. so i have go back again tomorrow. then, drive boss home. i took the car and drove to school. do quotation with Tiffany for our next job. edit some photos from the concert and burn to DVD. by 5pm, went back to work till 11pm.

Day 299 - work from 2pm till 12am. had nasi kandar for lunch & fish head soup for dinner.

Day 298 - went yumchar with boss,family & friends. it was not a good session coz the restaurant has got a wedding going on. although we were placed in a private room but there was no one to serve us. kanasai! waited for our tea to be served for almost 30 min! the dimsum was just ok.

after that went back to boss house to burn his son's graduation photo into dvd. Tiffany came to seek my help on burning a dvd for client. after that went for dinner before boss dropped me home. while waiting for my laundry to be ready, I walked to Queen St's Borders to read books.

Day 297 - went to work at 11am coz I need to leave by 4pm. going to shoot a fundraising concert organized by a SGI member for those head & neck cancer patients. i first approach the organizer (Lucy) through Seiko. Lucy called me and said that her dad was a proffesional photographer. i told her I am just a student. so she told me there will be 4 more photographers on that night. so, i emailed her some of my concert images and she was very happy with my work. when i reached the venue. OMG! im the only photographer! steady ... steady ... steady ....! im satisfy with my shots. but wonder how the organizer feels. will share with you guys soon after i deliver the photos.

Day 296 - woke up at 8.30am. going to shoot boss's son graduation. this is the 1st time i'v attended a graduation ceremony. the speeches and the whole ceremony was so touching. i can feel the importance of education and can imagine those graduates' hard work in order for them to step on the stage to receive their scrolls. can feel the happiness of parents and friends who were there to cheer for their love ones. that's Shunhan ~ boss's son he has got Bachelor Degree in Spacial Design! congrats! from left: Jacky, me, Angie, Shunhan, bossfrom left: boss, me, Angie, auntie Fonga, auntie Henglunch at Korean restaurantspicy porkspicy seafood soupstew beef

Day 291 - today is Saturday. had to go to AK to help in a private party. i haven't get to online since moving to my new apartment till today.


Day 290 -YES! its 4/12/09 which marks the last day of school! finally graduated! went to a pub at Mt Eden Road to a drink with fellow classmates. i did not drink because i had to go back to work. can't let my customer smell alchohol from my breath. it was full house today ... luckily boss was here to help out. the new dish (briyani chicken & kurma lamb shank) were selling quite good. after sending my boss home, came back to have dinner with Angie & auntie heng. we had a super big bowl of duck with taro. had 1.5 litre of apple cider with 4.7% alchohol. i only drank 2 cups and that made me a little drunk. both of them were like drinking apple juice. they are really good at drinking! after work, went straight to sleep otherwise i would usually watch drama or movie before sleep..... really a lousy drinker.


Day 289 - 287 study ... work ... sleep. its my final week of school. had to rush my last assignment. on wednesday, my school got robbed. and the stupid thing is the thief took my iMac!!! and other 2 iMac by my side! kanasai! out of so many macs ... why take mine??!!!! luckilly i had 6 sense to back up all my files last week. so i was totally safe! BUT .... it was unfortunate for Tiffany. she did not back up her files either on her own hard drive or the school's surver. she lost the whole year's assignment photos & documents. poor her!


Day 286 - its 30/11/09. i checked out from my apartment to move to another new one which is just beside my work place. it was raining heavily. thx to Santi who helped me carry some of my stuff. i then go to the bank to deposit my refund rent deposit. then walked to post office to mail my photo for 2010 Andy FanClub application. then rushed to the bus stop to catch a bus to school. i was already running late as we are supposed to gather at school by 12.30pm for a field trip. reached school at 12.40pm then we carpool in lecturer's car to Ponsonby to Kingsize Studio. the studio is very famous among photographers & film makers in NZ. its really huge!
after work, boss, Angie & auntie Heng helped me move my luggage to my new room. we changed some furniture placing so that i can have more spacing. its half size of my previous room but that's ok. most important thing is to save $$. one thing is that i have a more spectacular view from here. can oversee the museum, the port & some islands.

Day 285 - woke up early to meet Felicia. its amazing that we have just chatted online, read each others blog and of course through babyboss Michael. this is the 1st time we hang out after a year in NZ. went to Santa Parade at Queen Street. seriuosly, i have never seen so many people from day 1 im here. the city transformed to a huge and crowded city. so me, Fe, Jacklyn and another of their friend, Santi(my Philippine friend) & Siva(Santi's M'sian friend) went to have breakfast while waiting for the parade to start. its not that grand but its merry! can feel the X'mas party. on the way to work, met Sandra,my classmate. she was working with a mobile company as a photographer of the day. photos can be seen at my facebook.


Day 284 - wake up & do my laundry. in the afternoon, Angie came and helped me move some my luggage to the restaurant 1st. thx Angie. then we went for dinner at night.


Day 283 - 279 work ... study ... sleep start to pack my stuff. get ready to move!
